only #5 screw holes
- the screw holes are only #5, that is 1/8 inches diameter holes. In my opinion, this is ridiculously small on a shelf bracket that big. So it's almost impossible to find a quality screw replacement for the really weak screws that come along, (if you're looking for example for 2.5inches higher torque screws). Why would you not have #9 screw holes like lots of other brackets on this site? - there are screw holes only on 3 placements along the length of the brackets (2 toward the wall and 1 toward the shelh), instead of the normal four placements, for most shelf brackets on this site. So your shelf is heavy, it's going to be shifting and slightly rotating up/down during usage. This shelf bracket is beautifully designed and very sturdy, but in my opinion they just made it very weak, because of missing screw holes and really tiny hole diameters #5 (1/8 inch holes)...

Straight corner
These are being used to hold a shelf in our entry hall. Very pretty. The corners are straight and there is no residual metal on the edges on anywhere else on the brackets. One reviewer had a torqued bracket....so wish they would have asked for a replacement. Signature Hardware has REAL customer service and would have promptly made the situation right. This is a well made product and will put a little whimsy in your environment.
